Race Season Kick-Off Zoot Give Away

I can hardly wait for next weekend when I'll kick off the triathlon racing season. My friends over at Zoot are just as excited. Not only because CA70.3 is in their backyard, but also because many of the people who create your awesome Zoot products will also be racing.

What better way to kick off the season than with some new Zoot gear. Next week after CA70.3 I will pick two winners - a guy and a girl, for the tops shown below. Men's is size medium, women's is small - so if you win and that's not your size you are lucky and get to keep on giving!

To enter just share the race you are most excited for this season and why. I am most excited for Ireland 70.3 because I have never been to Ireland before. Your turn...

Yay!! Thanks for doing this giveaway, and you look great in your new Zoot kit by the way!! Zoot tweeted about it, I'm not a stalker! haha

I'm most excited about IMAZ. It will be my first Ironman, and I'm anxious to see what my body is capable of. My mind has been holding me back my whole life, and I've been slowly chipping away at my insecurities the last few years. Let's get it done!!!

Okay, I already won once but I will try again anyway. :) I am excited about so many of my races this year!!!! Hard to pick just one but I would have to say Eagleman 70.3 because it's my opportunity to qualify for Kona and vindicate the awful run (death march) that I had in the heat there last year.

TIME TO RACE!!!! :)

Oliver, because it will be my first. I wish however I was doing Ireland because I was born in Galway and learned to swim where the swim takes place!

I am excited to race Mooseman Half Ironman. I have only raced a small half iron before (last year) and I nervous but ready to get outside of my comfort zone. I absolutely love zoot - their compress RX tights are the bomb!

I'm excited for Hawaii 70.3 in June... my first half IM! It's also my first real vacation in a couple years, and it's in Hawaii... easy to get excited about :-) (Oh, and I wear a small... perfect!! Would love to try Zoot.)

I also signed up for Ireland 70.3! Since I'm from Ireland that is the race I'm most excited for. Although gotta warn you about the head wind! It's never ending and seems to be in all directions on that island. CAn't wait to hear about your races leading up to it, this is my second year doing tri's, it's inspirational to read about all your training and racing!

Hi Charisa...first time commentor long time reader ;-)

I am most excited about the Boulder Sprint triathlon because it will be my first triathlon after having a baby, and I cannot wait! Not the longest race of the summer, but the one I keep playing over in my mind.

Ireland would be a dream race! Wow!

Good Luck at Oceanside 70.3!

The race I'm most excited about this year is the Xterra Mountain Championship--the scenery will be beautiful, there will be tough competition, it's somewhat close to home, and the course suits my abilities well.

My ultra because I've never done one and because it's the day before Mother's Day so I get to do something cool as my own little memorial!

This is so cool to see all the great comments and how excited everyone is to race and about the sport of Triathlon in general. Its such a awesome community to be apart of.

Well, I am going to be racing in a few this season. But, the one I am super pumped for, is Ironman Arizona. Its my first Ironman distance race and I decided to give myself a little added pressure to try and finish under 10hrs in the hopes of qualifying for Kona. I say go big or don't go at all.

And @Nicole Geek turned Triathlete, if I win I'll give you the girls top and we can pose together at the finish line at the IMAZ in November!

Good luck Charisa at the CA70.3 and in Ireland!

I'm most excited for Age Group Nationals in Burlington! I'm psyched to race with so many fast women. But mostly I'm looking forward to taking my cow-spotted bike to the home of Ben and Jerry's. (And of course I'm looking forward to reading your race reports all season--they always give me chills, and I don't even know you!)

I'll be racing three 70.3's and one full IM this season, but the race I am most excited for is not the full but Challenge Cairns half-iron!!
1- Swim along the Great Barrier reef, woooow
2- Might be the last long-distance race Macca does, and I will be there. Cool!!
3- It'll be the last race I'll do in Australia, I moved abroad for 1 year and that year is quickly coming to a close...

Boston marathon. Because I worked my as$ off to get the ticket. Finally get to enjoy it.

Ireland 70.3?! I might have to add that and have it be the most exciting, because it sounds awesome.

But, barring that, Alcatraz in June, because it's on my birthday and all my friends come out, it's my local race and it includes world champions. Super fun.

Ireland 70.3 sounds just awesome! Most of my family is from there so i will have to put that one on my radar for next year!

The race I am most excited about this year is Hawaii 70.3! I have never been to the big island, and i'm so thrilled at the opportunity of racing on part of the Kona IM course, as well this trip sort of doubles as my honeymoon!

Best of luck to you for next weekend at Cali 70.3!

2. Get to race with good friends
3. Get to visit a new state and city!

Doing the Lake Minnetonka half marathon this May 1st in Minnesota. The run meanders through little strips of land all the while staying near the dozens of lakes you will run by...oh and its fairly flat too.....prime for a half marathon PR!! One month later is Kansas 70.3!

i never win at these things, but i am really excited to return to barcelona and try and improve my Half Iron time this year (May 29) - since i hopped around the run part last year with a achilles tendon injury....can i improve? i'd better, because my lame excuse (i even threw in a pun) for not doing as well as i can won't be worth a hoot ! And if i improve i'll be even more fired up for my first Ironman at the same place in October !!

keep posting those pics !

and best wishes for Ireland - my blogger and FB buddy Malcolm is running the length of Ireland this summer, raising awareness for Autism - check out his blog !

1st - I was just looking at Ireland 70.3 and I'm so incredibly jealous. I have the craziest itch to not only visit IE right now, but do that race!

2nd. I'm MOST excited for CDA this year. It will be my 4th Ironman and 3rd time at CDA and I had a BAD experience (sick) last time so I am coming back with revenge on the course!

Next up, however is Oceanside for me as well :-)

I am MOST excited about IM Lake Placid because it is my first Ironman.

117 days.

In case you were wondering.

:)

Wow! Lots of comments! That is awesome!! Looks like plenty of people are excited about this season and I love that. Um.. most excited.. wow.. I know the obvious answer is Kona, but right now I'm most excited about Lake Placid because it was the first IM I ever signed up for (after doing exactly two sprint triathlons) and then promptly reconsidered about six months out that maybe I had better do a few half ironmans first! However, I've always heard this race is beautiful, hard, and plus a few good friends are going and I know that will make it a special day! I can't wait!! Ireland 70.3!! WOW!! so cool.

I just raced my first sprint Tri last Labor Day. I'm racing 2 sprints and 1 Olympic/Intermediate this summer. My big main goal is the Cazenovia Olympic (in NY)! I would actually like to enter for the ladies S to give to my daughter who will be racing in her first kids tri this summer as well!

I am most excited for Ironman Wisconsin this September! This will be my first full Ironman. Also it will be my first time going to the Madison since I graduated 4 years ago. My husband, also a Badger Alumni, will be joining me in the race. Our families both live in the area (Chicago and Milwaukee and we are in San Francisco) so it will be so much fun to finally have a support group out there with me! Can not wait!!!
