It was 36F when I left my house to ride this morning. I know, I know, I'm spoiled. I ride outside year round. And I wouldn't change this for anything. I have also realized there was a time growing up in Chicago when I would have considered this temperature to be
warm for training. I guess it's all relative...
Winter riding in CA means green hills, orchards speckled with bright oranges, and crisp blue skies.
It means we wear more layers (2 pairs of gloves for me today!) and as Fast Brian put it, bust out the lobster mittens that make it hard to shift.
And walking out the door to ride when you see the furry warm cat makes it all the harder to get on the bike. But the post-ride coffee is always 10x better after those chilly mornings. Enjoy the ride!
