Operation Hold em Off!

I'm sitting at work consuming what seems to be an endless amount of food. My swim this morning felt a lot like many of my races - I could not grab feet. They just kept getting away from me. And the water felt slow. Very slow. And my butterfly stroke probably looked more like a dying moth stroke.

I have recruited Kona-girl to do bike intervals with me today. We are calling it "Operation hold 'er off". As in pretend we are racing and whoever is chasing is our competition. Must hold er off!! Great IM training.

After work my Dad and I will play the same game, but while running 2000m repeats. And for those of you who are thinking "Oh nice, her Dad will chase her." Ummmm, quite possibly the other way around. Dad ran a 1:27 half marathon this past Sunday at AFC Half.

And for those of you who remember the Rudy Project photo shoot fun - I found my way onto the Rudy Homepage. You can check it out here, and while you are there grab some sunglasses and a helmet.

No wonder you are super speedy: hard work + genetics = one fast person. I am so stoked to see what you can do in Kona this year!

In the genes. My genes are from fat home boys that love drinking beer on a porch...hmmmm, I think I have my Louisville finish photo if I can buy a beer on 4th street.

Remember my little story from Friday night about my first half (AFC)? I do believe I stated that the old... er.. developed, dude that out kicked me. I believe I stated he ran a 1:27. So I will go ahead and take credit for your dad's PR. See I jinx things in a good way. Unlike some I know...
