On my Run Commute . . .

I got to see the sun rise over the hills.

And the results of our recent storm putting all the fall leaves in the gutter.

Snowmen without real snow.

And palm tree ornaments.

I've been asked several times how I carry everything to work when I run commute. Basically, I only carry my phone. I keep some extra clothes at work. And as long as I plan ahead a little, it works out nicely. There have been rare days when I thought I had clothes at work. And was wrong. That always makes for a long day wearing sweaty spandex.

Beautiful! I love a good run commute. I live far enough away from work that it works well when I need to fit in a long run mid-week. I'm sure I'll be back to those early morning run commutes next spring/summer!

I keep clothes at work, have all my shower gear in a lock box at the Y so all I need to carry is a wallet, keys and phone.

My husband also has to plan a lot when he run commutes! One day he decided to run with his laptop in his backpack and it totally killed his quads. I don't think he will ever do that again.

That's hilarous! Your can sell your fragrance as runner's high!

Wearing spandex at work should be considered training. You should know if your gear is comfy enough for a 9-10 hour race.

You've got me wondering if I could make a run-to-work morning happen... hmm...

Great pix!

For a second I thought those leaves were some weird grainy thing you were going to eat for lunch.

How is it putting on funky, damp running clothes to run home? Sounds "icky."

I love the snowman and hate the idea of working in sweaty spandex!

I have thought about running to work, but never know when I am going to need my car to see clients. Also we don't have showers or changing facilites so probably not a good idea. It would be a great run though as it is about 8km.

Perfect idea! Love that you are fitting in your PRO training around work and the rest of life. What a great way to start the day. 2 questions: How long is the commute? What the heck do you eat after you get there?
