Rainy Day Swimming

Cedric could not be convinced to jump into the pool on this rainy Monday. Today was his first introduction to rainy swims. He hung out under the starting block during most of practice. Only when it got light out did he venture over to the edge of the pool.

There is nothing better than swimming in the rain if you ask me. Especially a good downpour. After practice we got some underwater video of my swim stroke. "Oh my" is all I have to say on that topic.

I'm with Cedric. For some reason I can't get excited about swimming in the rain.

Congrats to your dad for the marathon. He'll get a sub 3 next time.

I am so jealous of your pool. That just looks amazing and I agree that swimming in the rain is the best.

Totally agree!

I was so excited this morning when my alarm when off and I could hear the pouring rain... makes for the BEST swims.

I have to say - the "dash" or rather "controlled walk" from the locker rooms to the pool was an interesting 'welcome back' for me. It was GREAT though - the water was so warm!

Glad that you had a great swim!!

Ohh my. Long story short on my underwater video session: Ian can't swim.

Ohh joy

That does look like a really nice pool! I like swimming in the rain too- but warm rain. not cold rain.

This may sound a bit harsh but I would've thrown Cedric in, unless of course he doesn't actually know how to swim than I wouldn't have done that!
the water is always warmer when it's raining.

I love rainy swims, too. Not lighteningy though. Just rainy. Unfortunately, we would only have icy swims if we were swimming outdoors up here right now.

That Cedric gets around.

Totally agree with you on swimming in the rain, nothing beats it! I was a lifeguard for years (and years) and always had a blast during storms. If you go underwater with your goggles on then look up at the surface it's amazing! We had a slide at our pool too and rain always made it so much faster!

Didn't venture to the outdoor pool. Kinda nice to have a membership that I can chose indoor or outdoor. I guess I missed out this morning.

I swam while it snowed outside. Same thing, right?

There is no outdoor swimming around here now! I can't believe Cedric didn't want to jump in!

Swimming in the rind is kind of fun if it is warm outside. That clearly doesn't happen here.

I am jealous you get to swim outdoors, I love swimming the rain, just something about it, especially in the open water.

I'm glad Cedric didn't blow in. Not to be rude, as Cedric is very cute, I'm a little worried about Cedric's stroke. His arms looks a little stiff :) Swimming in the rain is cool!
