Proud

Eight years ago today is a day I'd like to forget. That being said, in the days following the amount of compassion, love and goodness that was shown - often between people who had never met - was beautiful. It made me proud to be American.

Today I was on a golf course in Montreal. Every hole had a clock to as a part of their normal daily M O to remind players to keep play moving. We thought all the clocks were broken. Then we figured out they had them all set to the time of the first plane strike. I was very proud of our Canadian brothers to remember so fittingly.

I know, this is always a bitter-sweet day.
