Recharge

Saturday I spent the morning falling off a bike train. I finally gave up and decided an easier ride would be so much more fun. Thankfully Mike had the same idea so I had some good company on the ride back home. On my run where I was supposed to pick up the pace at the end my heart rate wouldn't budge above 130. This is when I decided my body was trying to tell me it was tired.

Therefore the rest of my weekend consisted of a nap, painting, watching track on TV and lounging around while Steven went riding with the hairy leg boys club. (They are getting strong!)

Thankfully this week is pretty easy training-wise. My legs will hopefully be recharged to climb a few hills (quickly?!) next weekend at Wildlfower.

I'm sure you will be recharged and rearing to go by Wildflower! Enjoy a little taper! Love the pictures of you from 7th grade by the way. I'm pretty sure my bangs looked something like that too. Although I'm too afraid to look for the pictures to find out. ;)

Striking how similar the paths our lives and bodies are on right now. I just told my secretary how my nap was the most exciing portion of my weekend:) Rest them legs and get ready for WF! Can't wait.

Rest and recover so you can kick butt again at Wildflower. One of these years I want to do that race.

Your hairy leg man is kicking my hairy leg man's butt!

What was up with the track meet/fashion show/soap opera? I tried to watch some track but there wasn't much running!

Rest up and feel better!

Hang in there - that was pretty much the same with me... except my legs were okay, my MIND just felt slow...and I didn't want to be out there. FYI - the extra coffee did not help. :) Good job for pulling the plug and taking it easy - way to listen to you body!

You'll do GREAT at WF - I just know it!!!!!

Thanks for writing on my blog, I had no idea you were doing WF! SUPER COOL! I can't wait to meet you. Are you camping, RV'ing, or staying in a town near by? Let's plan to meet up! ;-)

I am jealous of all you Californian's and the neat races! I know they arent all close by but it sure is fun to follow and dream about doing them sometime.
Rest up...lots of good times ( literally and figuratively!) to come for you:)

Always best to listen to the body when it is demanding to be recharged. Granted i still find it weird when my HR does the same thing when i'm too tired. But rest is just as important as the training. Good luck with the taper and have fun at WF!

ohhh...and almost to 1000! bike commuter miles!!:-)

Uh, we're like bff's who's menstrual cycles are in sync, um, maybe bad analogy. I guess I wasn't the only one feeling fatigued this past week.
