Winter

This is for all my friends who live where you actually get beautiful snow in the winter! I miss it. Thanks to my great friend Wendy for capturing this shot in Holland, MI over Christmas!

I'll trade you the -10F wind chills and snow of New England for a 60 degree day with a gentle pacific breeze...

At least I thought it sounded like a fair deal...

Oooh pretty! Though having never lived in the snow I don't miss it. I'm such a spoiled SF girl.

Putting a few inches of fresh, white, fluffy snow on top of things makes them look peaceful somehow. However, it must be cold for snow. And then it gets really cold, like this mornings' -26F with -36F windchill.
Still miss the snow?! ;)

There are aspects to having four seasons that I miss, granted I still have the weather for MA on my toolbar and I see that tomorrow the high is 9F...so I don't miss that. I'm doing the trade off and going skiing this weekend. I like the 'visiting' winter but leaving it behind when I'm gone too. :-)

I LOVE that shot - beautiful! That's the part of winter that I miss... those wonderful, overcast days, where its snowing and there's snow on the ground (and not too cold).... perfect for curling up with a good book, a warm drink, and a comfy couch. Can't quite get that here in Carlsbad, eh?

I was just in a MUCH warmer place, and I just came back to this stuff. Dang. I liked the warmth.
