Six Hours

I spent six glorious hours on my bike this past Friday. You may think I am being sarcastic, but honestly - it was wonderful. A perfect fall day where the typical sweltering heat inland has dissipated.

Wispy clouds and the lone cow.

Fall is one of the best times of year to train - and not just because of the treats that pop up in the convenience stores (caramel apples are hard to eat while riding unfortunately...)

Other than a middle segment where I bonked - BAD - I honestly did not want the ride to end. Those rides, where the road seems to stretch out before me indefinitely and things seem fluid on the bike - they are one of the many reasons I love this sport, and my job.

I really need to move to somewhere like CA where I can ride year-round in beautiful scenery and weather. I can't imagine being on a bike that long, but your post actually makes me want to do it.
