Wind, Rain & a Cold

Sometimes when it rains it pours. Literally. I started feeling sick Friday. But I was optimistic my immune system was up for its job of killing all evil germs. I went down to pick up my race bib yesterday in pouring sideways rain. Rumor was that the triathlon would become a duathlon starting with a one-mile run.

Saturday night I knew I would not be able to race at 100% and made the decision not to start. Turns out the race was cancelled due to crazy winds and rain anyway. Good timing!

This was a stormy day in Ireland - but I'm sure if I went down to the beach here in California it would look exactly the same. Or almost. Or at least there would be chop on the ocean.

Leadman 125 is in two weeks. I will kick off the season in Vegas. If you want to join me you can save 15% when signing up by using code Ltftri24.

Sorry you're sick, but it sounds like the race cancellation had good timing. Hope you feel better quickly so you can have an awesome race at Leadman 125! PS - I like the Ireland picture. Brings back fond memories of racing in the rain, wind, and cold. :)
