Windy Commute

After swimming this morning I took the long route to work. Partly because I wanted to ride longer and partly because I wanted to see the wind-chopped ocean.

Flags stuck straight out and kite surfers caught serious air.

This poor pelican was flying, but going backward it was so windy.

Flying nearly 30mph uphill on my bike was pretty fun. I won't tell you how slow I was going into the head wind though . . .

My commute to work does NOT involve the ocean or pelicans... how lucky are you? Wind, though, I've got in abundance. Pedalling DOWN a hill sure is dispiriting,

As mean as this sounds, watching birds fly into a headwind is pretty funny.

I think my run this morning might double as my strength training session too. Running into that wind was narly!
Good job this weekend in the desert!!

I ran last night in the rain and was happy to have my raincoat to keep out the wind which was the real culprit!

SO AWESOME! I wish the wind provided such nice pictures out here, but then I suspect the ocean will always outshine the desert. :))

Nice job on gettin thru the wind...consider it ST via your endurance work. :p
