The Bowl

This year I had a lot of goals and it was really fun chasing them all season. A big one was to get on the podium at the Kona Ironman. Podium = wooden bowl.

It was everything I dreamed it would be.

In some ways it is funny to me that I spent an entire year busting my butt in training for a wooden bowl. But it is also so much more than that. Accomplishing goals is a pretty neat thing. It makes the world smaller. Makes everything seem possible if I work hard enough.

Faris got a bowl too! I think his might be bigger though...

Sweet!! I can only imagine! Luckily I am a BOTP, so I dont have to put in that extra effort to get near the podium... but if I keep this up for another 15 yrs..hmmmm 70+ age group looks pretty attainable.

You get a nice watch too?

Sweet bowl! Glad Faris got a shave. I think your pipes might actually be bigger than his.

Congrats! Achieving goals does make the world seem much smaller and things more do-able that once seemed like a big mountain. Rest up! You've earned it!!
