Scary Stuff

This is my friend Bryant's bike. He was hit head on by a jeep this morning, while training for his upcoming Ironman. He is lucky. He has a broken arm, a broken nose, lost 2 teeth and is beaten and bruised. If you believe in prayer he could use some.

In a little happier news I got to ride with my Dad today for Father's Day. I think it's pretty darn cool to have a Dad just as crazy as I am in that he trains for Ironman also. Happy Father's Day!

Hope bryant is back in the saddle soon. give him my best.

Wow! What is with cars and bikes these days - it's scary out there. I will include Bryant in the large number of injured biker prayers.

Sounds like a great way to spend Father's Day. I hope you crushed him on every climb. (kidding)

I think it's totally awesome that you get to bike with your dad.

Sending Bryant lots of good healing vibes. That is one scary photo and I am SO glad to hear that he is *relatively* ok - though broken bones are NEVER good.

Be safe out there.

I played cards with my dad. He is not an athlete so we cant run together.

Hope your friend has a speedy recovery. That is bad news.

Wow - that looks like it could have been so much worse. Will be thinking of him.

And I agree it is great to train with with a parent. I get to run with my mom (or at least try to keep up to her) and it is great.
