Mucho Grazie!

For any of you who have prepared for an Ironman or any other long distance sporting event, you know it does not happen with you alone. There is a huge support network that makes your race possible. This is where I say thank you so very much to:
  • The Boys - I cling to your wheels and chase you around at track and on long runs. You take time off work to ride randomly with me in the middle of the week and make long and often hard bike rides very fun. At the top of hills you wait or circle back to pick me up and drag me back to the pack. Gracias.
  • Family - You understand when I show up for a wedding and have to squeeze in a 15 mile run before dinner. It isn't odd that I need to find a swimming pool when I visit you from out of town. Spasiba.
  • Steven - On those days when training is not something I enjoy somehow you get me out the door. The craziness of training and squeezing life in around it doesn't seem to phase you. Merci.
  • Blog Friends - you inspire me, motivate me, and make me laugh. It's awesome how people I have never met can be so great. Mahalo.
  • Coach Dirk - what a crazy ride the past 3 years has been. You have believed in me from day 1. I've probably cursed you more than once, but come race day I have never regretted the hard training. I will do my best to make you proud this weekend. Danke.
  • Ian and Kevin - you easily fall into 'the boys' category, but there's so much more to it than that. The training, racing and laughing we have shared the past year is something I will always treasure. Thank you.
Let the racing begin!
